Best Harnesses for Doodles

After owning Greenwood Village's top dog walking company for 6 years, I have tried every conceivable type of dog harness. We've tried the rest and are happy to recommend the best!

Here are our favorites for harnesses used to discourage pulling:

2 Hounds Design Freedom No-Pull Dog Harness with Leash

The Freedom Harness is the one we chose for our own dog Hershey. You want to pick the option WITH the leash as it comes with two clips on the leash to use with both clips on the harness. This option is what makes this harness stand out to us. The soft velvet lining for the straps behind the front legs are a sweet bonus!

Easy Walk Harness

The Easy Walk Harness is the first popular front clip harness and was the most popular harness used by our dog-walking clients. You have to be very careful that this harness doesn't fall too low and ride against their shoulders.

Halti Head Collar

If you need a bit more help training your dog not to pull or they are very strong, our favorite head harness is the Halti Head Collar. We like it more than the popular Gentle Leader as it has a clip to the collar for extra safety that the Gentle Leader lacks.

If pulling isn't your dog's style and you just want a top of the line harness that's easy to put on and is comfortable to wear, this is our favorite:

The Front Range Harness is the easiest harness to put on, perfect for the pup who wiggles with excitement when they hear the word “Walk”! It's has the most padding and is the most comfortable for long walks.

We hope these harnesses help you and your pup enjoy longer and happier walks!

oh hey there!

I’m Corinne, The Doodle Pro™

DOODLES ARE DIFFERENT, THEY DESERVE SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY NEED.

I get it.  You’ve tried training your doodle with what worked well with other dogs or for other trainers.

(Maybe you’ve noticed that didn’t get your doodle as calm or happy as you hoped.)

That’s why The Doodle Pro™ does things differently.

All of my training methods are positive, research-based, and doodle specific. When should a doodle get their first grooming? How do you stop a doodle from barking? How can I stop my doodle from jumping on guests? When should I get a second dog? How do I help my doodle with separation anxiety?
